Chemical Dependency Tract of the Psychiatric Service Services

ADULT DUAL DIAGNOSIS/ACUTE DETOXIFICATION UNIT
(Chemical Dependency)

The Dual Diagnosis/ Acute Detoxification track is designed to assist people who are suffering from both emotional and chemical dependency problems. The Acute detoxification program is a 24 hour, medically managed detoxification process with emphasis on stabilization and assessment of needs.

Chemical dependency is a primary, progressive, chronic and potentially fatal disease. Those afflicted with this disease suffer serious negative consequences and adversely affect the life of family members and loved ones. Even though the disease is chronic, it is highly treatable. The goal of treatment is to assist the patient in gaining the skills necessary for a lifestyle free of alcohol and drugs.  It is centered around a 12-step program and run by a counselor with certifications in Drug and Alcohol (ICADC), Relapse Prevention (ACRPS), and Anger Resolutions (CART). We at Gulf Oaks realize that sometimes life’s stressors become too much to handle on our own. We offer a full array of services with the ability to accommodate the individual needs of our clients.
